Special Weather Statement
Issued: 6:43 PM Jan. 25, 2026 – National Weather Service
...Potential For Hazardous Road Travel Conditions...

Ice and sleet will continue to cause hazardous travel conditions
on some roads and bridges in the forecast area through at least
Monday morning. In addition to areas with reported impacts,
temperatures will quickly drop below freezing across the remainder
of the forecast area tonight. Very cold temperatures could cause
moisture and standing water to freeze on roads and bridges, even
where freezing rain and sleet did not fall. Black ice can appear
like a wet road, but can be dangerous to sudden loss of traction
on the road. Be sure to check road conditions with local
Departments of Transportation before traveling overnight, and
drive carefully if you are uncertain of the road conditions in
your area.
