...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Missouri, including the following counties, Howell, Shannon and Texas. * WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 656 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Rain rates between 2 and 3 inches per hour will increase risk of ponding on roadways and in areas with poor drainage. - This includes the following low water crossings... North Prong Jacks Fork at Arroll Road, South Prong Jacks Fork River at Highway U, South Fork Jacks Fork River at Stillhouse Road, Little Piney River at Union Road, Big Piney River at Cleveland Road and Mullin Branch at County Road 2330. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
