* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Thompson River at Trenton.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 28.0 feet, Low lying areas north of the gage are
flooded. At 30.0 feet, Backwater along the Weldon River causes
flooding at Northwest 22nd Avenue and Route A north of Trenton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 22.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tonight to a crest of 28.7 feet tomorrow morning. It will then
fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Grand River near Sumner.

* WHEN...From Thursday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage
begins to flood. At 26.0 feet, Rural land adjacent to the river is
flooded. At 28.0 feet, Rural roads are under water. At 37.0 feet,
State Highway 139 floods a half mile east of Sumner.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 37.7 feet
Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following
areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the
following areas, Adair, Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton,
Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn MO,
Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan and
Worth.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms are expected to develop rapidly this afternoon in
much of northern Missouri and far northeastern Kansas. Storms
will be slow-moving and capable of producing torrential rainfall.
Localized rainfall totals in excess of 3 inches are possible,
which may occur in as little as an hour or two. These rainfall
totals and rainfall rates will likely lead to instances of flash
flooding in the watch area.
