...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Additional snow amounts of 12 to 18"+ for parts of Antrim, Kalkaska, and Crawford counties. For other areas in and adjacent to the typical northwest lower snowbelts, additional snow accumulations between 5 and 9 inches. Lesser totals between 2 and 5 inches across eastern portions of Montmorency, Oscoda, and Ogemaw counties. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Antrim, Cheboygan, Otsego, Crawford, Kalkaska, Wexford, Missaukee, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Montmorency counties. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will lead to significant drops in visibility. Whiteout conditions are possible at times of heaviest snow and winds. Combination of visibility restrictions and snow covered roads will make for hazardous travel.
