* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 25 to 35 kt with
gusts up to 40 kt and waves 7 to 10 ft occurring. For the
Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, heavy freezing spray at a rate
of 2 cm per hour or greater occurring, and may rapidly
accumulate on vessels.

* WHERE...Manitou Island to Point Isabelle MI, Point Isabelle to
Lower Entrance of Portage Canal MI, Lower Entrance of Portage
Canal To Huron Islands MI Including Keweenaw and Huron Bays,
Huron Islands to Marquette MI and Lake Superior West of Line
from Manitou Island to Marquette MI Beyond 5NM from shore.

* WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 AM EST Sunday. For the
Heavy Freezing Spray Warning, until 8 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Operating a vessel in heavy freezing spray is
hazardous. Freezing spray may render mechanical and electronic
components inoperative. Rapid ice accretion on decks and
superstructures may result in a catastrophic loss of
stability. Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should prepare for dangerous accumulation of ice on
their vessel. If possible, remain in port, avoid the warning area
or conduct mitigation.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Additional snow accumulations
between 2 and 4 inches with locally higher amounts of 4 to 6
inches in the higher terrain from around Mass City to Painesdale.
Winds gusting as high as 50 mph, highest in the Keweenaw.
Localized blizzard-like conditions are possible.

* WHERE...Northern Houghton and Ontonagon Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could
bring down tree branches.
