Special Weather Statement
Issued: 3:12 AM Nov. 29, 2025 – National Weather Service
...Snow Showers Continue this Evening into Tonight... Lingering lake effect snow showers are carrying through the evening across portions of northern lower and eastern upper Michigan. This activity will become much less widespread with time tonight, largely confining to the immediate coastal areas by around daybreak. A few additional inches of snow will be possible through daybreak, particularly across the lake effect prone areas of the I-75 corridor from Indian River to Roscommon, the US 131 corridor from Petoskey to Kalkaska, and the US 23 corridor from Rogers City to Alpena. In eastern upper Michigan, this activity will largely favor areas west of the St. Mary's River (likely missing Sault Ste. Marie proper altogether). Occasional drops in visibility will be possible through the night, along with slippery / snow- covered roads. Please exercise caution if out and about late this evening or tonight, and remember to take it slow in ice and snow!
