...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING... * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Inland Worcester County. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure may be inundated. Some shoreline erosion may occur. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour. For the Gale Warning, north winds 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and seas 8 to 13 ft expected. * WHERE...Coastal waters from Fenwick Island DE to Chincoteague VA out 20 NM. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 AM EDT Monday. For the Gale Warning, from 6 AM Monday to 7 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
