Eastern Bay... * Until 745 PM EDT. * At 609 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Matapeake to near James Island, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and waterspouts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. * Locations impacted include... Choptank River, Tilghman Island, Eastern Bay, Blackwalnut Point, Chesapeake Beach, Greenbury Point, North Beach, Herring Bay, Highland Beach, Dares Beach, Romancoke, Bloody Point Light, Matapeake, James Island, Thomas Point Light, Poplar Island, Shady Side, Deale, and Mayo.
