...GALE WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds around 10
kt with gusts up to 20 kt tonight, becoming south and increasing
to 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt Wednesday morning. For the
Gale Watch, south winds becoming west by late Wednesday
afternoon; winds of 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt are
possible.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay north of Sandy Point MD, Tidal Potomac
from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD, Patapsco River including
Baltimore Harbor, Chester River to Queenstown MD, and Patuxent
River to Broomes Island MD.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 1 AM to noon EST
Wednesday. For the Gale Watch, from Wednesday afternoon
through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible
hazardous conditions.  Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter
course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.
