Special Weather Statement
Issued: 1:24 AM Jan. 19, 2026 – National Weather Service
...AREAS OF BLACK ICE ACROSS TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING... With temperatures dropping well below freezing tonight into Monday morning, black ice development is likely as wet roads freeze. Roads may therefore become slick and slippery, especially on untreated, secondary, and back roads. Slow down and use caution when driving, especially when traversing roads that have not been treated. If you are walking outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury. Road and sidewalk conditions should improve later Monday morning as temperatures warm to above freezing.
