Special Weather Statement
Issued: 2:32 AM Mar. 7, 2026 – National Weather Service
...SLIPPERY TRAVEL POSSIBLE INTO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING ESPECIALLY IN THE THE HIGH TERRAIN... Areas of drizzle with pockets of freezing drizzle will continue into early Saturday morning. The bulk of the freezing drizzle will be in the high terrain where temperatures were at or below freezing and untreated roads maybe icy. However...even some of the lower elevations had temperatures around 32 degrees which may lead to some patchy black ice. Plan on allowing extra travel time and be especially careful on bridges and overpasses. This is particularly true in the high terrain where temperatures were a few degrees below freezing. Pedestrians should also be careful in parking lots and walkways which may have patches of black ice. Temperatures will warm above freezing by mid to late Saturday morning alleviating any issues.
