...EXTREME COLD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low between 5 and 10 above into Monday morning, then wind chills 10 to 15 on Tuesday morning. * WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west central Louisiana and southeast Texas. * WHEN...Until 11 AM CST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
