For the Freeze Watch, hard freeze with temperatures as low as 20 to 25 degrees possible for several hours. * WHERE...In Louisiana, Avoyelles, Evangeline, Rapides, St. Landry, Allen, Beauregard, and Vernon Parishes. In Texas, Northern Jasper and Northern Newton Counties. * WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM Sunday to 10 AM CST Monday. For the Freeze Watch, from Sunday evening through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use caution while traveling outside.
