* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
as 16 degrees expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously
cold wind chills as low as 5 degrees expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west
central Louisiana and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to
noon CST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 6 PM Sunday to
11 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed wintry precipitation will be possible. Ice
accumulations up to a tenth of an inch possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southwest
Louisiana and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Saturday to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
