Special Weather Statement
Issued: 4:53 AM Jan. 28, 2021 – National Weather Service
...Black Ice and Slick Roadways... The snow and rain have moved east and temperatures are falling. With many locations getting 1 to 3 inches of snow...temperatures will fall into the lower 20s...and even lower in Southern Indiana. The wet snow will start to harden and ice up. This may result in slick travel conditions, mainly on elevated surfaces. Bridges and overpasses are likely to become icy. The morning commute could be problematic for side streets...and elevated surfaces. Areas near and around the Bowling Green vicinity received light rainfall...and temperature will be falling into the low to mid 20s. This may bring some isolated slick spots...especially on elevated surfaces and bridges. Use caution if traveling this morning. Slow down, but avoid changing speed on bridges and overpasses. Temperatures are only expected to warm into the 30 to 35 degree range. Allow extra time to reach your destination safely.
