Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms capable of heavy rain are expected today through the weekend. Already wet soils in some areas will make flooding more susceptible, especially with each additional round of rainfall. ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM EDT /545 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana, including the following counties, Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison and Perry and central Kentucky, including the following counties, Jefferson, Meade, Oldham and Shelby. * WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT /545 AM CDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 340 AM EDT /240 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
