Decatur County in central Indiana...

* Until 1145 PM EDT Wednesday.

* At 513 PM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 8
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25
inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Greensburg, Adams, Milford, Westport, St. Paul, Millhousen, Letts,
Sandusky, Burney, Newpoint, Clarksburg and Lake Santee.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

following counties, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Johnson,
Madison, Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby and Tipton. In east central
Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph. In north central Indiana,
Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown. In southeast Indiana,
Jennings. In west central Indiana, Fountain, Montgomery, Parke,
Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion and Warren.

* WHEN...Through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
