* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...All of Central Indiana.

* WHEN...From 5 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Total rainfall of 1-2 inches is expected with locally higher
amounts in excess of 4 inches.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON TO LATE TUESDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.

* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is
overtopped.  Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 10.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall to 10.0 feet this evening. It
will then rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to
16.8 feet early Friday morning. It will fall to 16.7 feet
early Saturday morning. It will then rise to 17.6 feet Sunday
evening. It will fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

River Flood Warning

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING TO SUNDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN...From Thursday evening to Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 14.9 feet, Lowland flooding develops. High water
approaches river cabins near Davis Prairie Road.  Water covers
some spots on low county roads. The lower end of Tapawingo Park in
West Lafayette begins to flood, along with the Heritage Trail.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 5.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow evening to a crest of 14.7 feet Friday evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
