...Slippery Travel due to Accumulating Lake-Effect Snow Today...

Lake-effect snow showers will persist across northwest Indiana
this morning through this afternoon. Coverage and intensity of
snow showers will increase this morning and early this afternoon,
with additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible
especially across eastern Lake and northeastern Jasper counties.
Gusty northwest winds will produce blowing and drifting of snow in
open areas. Untreated roads will likely be snow covered and
slippery, making for hazardous travel conditions. Snow showers
should diminish this afternoon.
