* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and west
central Indiana, including the following counties, in central
Indiana, Boone, Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks,
Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby and Tipton.
In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph. In north
central Indiana, Carroll. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain,
Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and
Warren.

* WHEN...Through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall is possible Saturday morning through
Saturday evening of which could lead to additional flooding.
This is potentially a very dangerous situation, and citizens
should remain aware of conditions in their area and be
prepared to take immediate action if rising water threatens
or warnings are issued.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, August 22.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flood water is at critical height for most
agricultural levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 19.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:45 PM EDT Friday was 19.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.4
feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday, August 21.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Extensive flooding covers many acres of
agricultural land. SR 225 closed by high water. Granville Bridge
Public Access Site flooded. Tippecanoe CR 950 W south of CR 75 S
floods in several places from the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen Tract to
Warren CR 350 N in the Black Rock Preserve Area, a distance of
nearly 1.5 miles. High water affects Fort Ouiatenon area. All
parks in the West Lafayette and Lafayette areas are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 5:30 PM EDT Friday was 16.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 17.9 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall early Sunday afternoon. It will rise to
17.8 feet Monday morning. It will then fall again but remain
above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* WHEN...Until Sunday, August 23.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to
flood.  Higher bottomlands begin to flood.  Water backs up most
local tributaries.  River water is at the top of some private
levees.  Lowest county roads begin to flood.  Parke CR 75 W begins
to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 19.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 4:45 PM EDT Friday was 19.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.7
feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
stage Saturday, August 22.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
