...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING... ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST FRIDAY... * WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds to 30 kt and significant waves to 5 ft. For the Gale Warning, west gales to 35 kt and significant waves to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft expected. * WHERE...Gary to Michigan City IN. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 PM CST this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A brief period of southerly gales of 35 to 40 kt are possible late this morning and early afternoon. A line of very gusty showers may also result in westerly gusts briefly over 40 kt this afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. &&
