...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM EDT /245 AM CDT/ TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Indiana, including the
following counties, Clark, Crawford, Harrison, Orange, Perry and
Washington.

* WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT /245 AM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 947 PM EDT /847 PM CDT/, emergency management reported
heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2.5 and 3
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible
in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salem, English, New Pekin, Palmyra, Marengo, Milltown,
Borden, Hardinsburg, Livonia and Fredericksburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Indiana, including the
following counties, Crawford, Dubois, Harrison, Orange, Perry and
Washington.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT /1000 PM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM EDT /700 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Salem, Paoli, English, Carefree Town, New Pekin, Stampers
Creek, Marengo, Milltown, Birdseye and Hardinsburg.
