Special Weather Statement
Issued: 2:04 AM Dec. 11, 2025 – National Weather Service
...ACCUMULATING SNOW THURSDAY EVENING... Snow is forecast to overspread much of central and southeast Illinois Thursday afternoon and evening, resulting in diminished visibilities and slick roadways. Uncertainty is unusually high in the location of heaviest accumulations, but a narrow corridor of totals over 4 inches is expected, with the highest chances (30-50%) near the I-74 corridor. On the southern edge of the heavier snow, a wintry mix including ice pellets and rain can be expected. Drive slow and allow extra stopping distance on the evening commute.
