...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM HST FRIDAY... * WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 kt and seas 10 to 15 feet. * WHERE...Kauai Northwest Waters, Kauai Windward Waters, Kauai Leeward Waters, Kauai Channel, Oahu Windward Waters and Oahu Leeward Waters. * WHEN...Until 6 AM HST Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions. &&

Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Low pressure northwest of the islands will draw deep tropical moisture northward across the state, bringing the potential for heavy rain and thunderstorms capable of producing flash flooding.
