THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Seas 9 to 12 feet in northwest swell.

* WHERE...Oahu Leeward Waters, Kaiwi Channel, Maui County
Windward Waters and Big Island Windward Waters.

* WHEN...To 6 PM HST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
and/or seas 10 feet or greater are expected to produce conditions
hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially
those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these
conditions.

High Surf Warning

...HIGH SURF WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Surf along north and west facing shores of Niihau and
Kauai, and north facing shores of Oahu, Molokai, and Maui will
be building to 18 to 25 feet by this afternoon. Surf along west
facing shores of Oahu and Molokai will increase to 15 to 20
feet by this afternoon.

* WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu,
Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...High. Expect ocean water occasionally sweeping
across portions of beaches, very strong breaking waves, and
strong longshore and rip currents. Breaking waves may
occasionally impact harbors making navigating the harbor
channel dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Large, breaking surf, significant shorebreak, and dangerous
currents make entering the water very hazardous.

Anyone entering the water could face significant injury or death.
