...A strong thunderstorm will affect Coastal waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Pensacola FL out 20 NM... Eastern Choctawhatchee Bay... Pensacola Bay Area including Santa Rosa Sound... Waters from Okaloosa-Walton County Line to Pensacola FL from 20 to 60 NM... Western Choctawhatchee Bay... Until 515 AM CDT.... At 410 AM CDT...A strong thunderstorm was located near Fort Walton Liberty Ship Reef, or 12 nm south of Destin...moving northeast at 10 knots. Locations impacted include... Mary Esther, Fort Walton Beach, Highway 331 Bridge, Shalimar, Destin, Okaloosa Pier, Navarre Beach, West Choctawhatchee Bay, East Santa Rosa Sound, and Okaloosa Deep Water Reef. The primary threats from this storm are wind gusts up to 30 knots... locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until this storm has passed.
