...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of DC, including the following , District of
Columbia.

* WHEN...Until 230 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not
be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1242 AM EDT, satellite estimates and rain gauge data
indicate heavy rain from thunderstorms in the warned area.
Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5
and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding is ongoing along Rock Creek, with some roads still
flooded from earlier rainfall. Water levels are slowly
receding and will drop below flood stage along Rock Creek
overnight.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1239 AM EDT, Flooding is ongoing along Rock Creek, with
some roads still flooded from earlier rainfall. Water levels
are slowly receding and will drop below flood stage along
Rock Creek overnight.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
