Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 7:21 PM Oct. 12, 2025 – National Weather Service
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT
MONDAY...

* WHAT...1 to 1 1/2 ft, locally 2 ft of inundation above ground
level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and
shoreline for this afternoon, but moreso tonight, and Monday
afternoon high tide cycles.

* WHERE...Southern Fairfield, Southern New Haven, Southern
Middlesex and Southern New London Counties.

* WHEN...Thru 8 PM EDT Monday, around times of high tide.

* IMPACTS...Widespread minor to locally moderate flooding is
expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront
and shoreline. Expect 1 to 1 1/2 ft, locally 2 ft of inundation
above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads
and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and
homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will
experience shallow flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This forecast has been weighted towards a
reasonable worst case scenario to account for differences in
model depiction of low pressure track and intensity, and provide
a safety margin for planning. Water levels would fall on lower
end or short of current forecast range if winds remain more from
the north versus the northeast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
