...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Elbert County in east central Colorado... * WHEN...Until 845 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 648 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Middle Bijou Creek, Reed Springs Creek, West Bijou Creek, Wilson Creek, Water Gulch and East Bijou Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Central Elbert County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
