...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northwestern Elbert, western Arapahoe and northeastern Douglas counties. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 816 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southern Denver, Aurora, Centennial, northeastern Highlands Ranch, northwestern Parker, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Arapahoe Park, Buckley SFB, Foxfield and Cherry Creek Reservoir. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. &&
