Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of most concern are Avalon, Long Beach (Peninsula and Belmont Shore). While the surf will likely be smaller than Marie (from earlier this month), the lingering erosion effects enhance the vulnerabilities for locally more significant coastal flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Do NOT drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
