Snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches with 8 to 18 inches along the Sierra crest. 1 to 5 inches of snow accumulation at lake level. Wind gusts exceeding 100 mph on ridges. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From late Wednesday night through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially across mountain passes such as Donner Pass, Carson Pass, and Ebbetts Pass. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Uncertainty in the storm track and snow levels mean amounts could be higher, with a 25 percent probability of up to 8 inches at lake level, 18 inches at passes, and 30 inches on the crest.
