...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM WEDNESDAY
TO 2 AM PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and
hazardous seas 16 to 19 feet expected. For the Small Craft
Advisory, north winds 5 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and
seas 11 to 16 feet expected.

* WHERE...Pt St George to Cape Mendocino out 10 nm and Cape
Mendocino to Pt Arena out 10 nm.

* WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, from 10 AM Wednesday to
2 AM PST Thursday. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 PM
this evening to 10 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or cause
damage to vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Recreational boaters should remain in port. Commercial vessels
should prepare for rough seas and consider remaining in port
until hazardous seas subside.

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves from 20 to 25 feet along northwest
facing beaches.

* WHERE...Coastal Del Norte, Mendocino Coast, Northern Humboldt
Coast and Southwestern Humboldt Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 8 AM PST Thursday.. .

* IMPACTS...Dangerous surfing conditions and localized beach
erosion. Beachcombing is highly discouraged!.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Large breaking waves along the coast will lead to increased wave
run-up on beaches with waves topping and washing over large rocks
and jetties. These large waves can be erratic and unpredictable.
Use extra caution near the surf zone as these large waves will be
capable of sweeping people into the frigid and turbulent ocean
water. Mariners traversing the bar are urged to exercise extreme
caution or stay in port until the threat subsides. Please contact
the U.S. Coast Guard for information regarding harbor and bar
closures.
