Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 814 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Long Beach, Lake Los Angeles, Wrightwood, Mount Wilson, Pasadena, West Covina, Glendora, Alhambra, San Dimas, Whittier, Pomona, Downtown Los Angeles, Inglewood, Palmdale, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Lancaster, the Bridge burn scar,and the Eaton burn scar. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Between 0.2 and 0.7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... In addition, minor mud and debris flows can be expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 521 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area in the next 3 hours. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following areas, all areas in Los Angeles County, and the Ventura County Coast and Valleys, the northern Ventura County and Santa Barbara County Interior mountains, the Santa Susana and Santa Monica mountains, the Central Coast portion of Santa Barbara County, and all of the Channel Islands. * WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Ample roadway flooding with a number of closures are possible, including rockslides and mudslides in canyon roads. Some neighborhoods may experience shallow flooding of buildings. Heavy and dangerous flows are expected in rivers and creeks, with one or two creeks possibly overflowing.
