For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 8 to 13 ft expected. * WHERE...Coastal Waters from Point Reyes to Pigeon Point California out to 10 NM. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 3 PM PDT this afternoon. For the Gale Warning, from 3 PM this afternoon to 3 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. ...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents due to long period southwesterly swell. * WHERE...Beaches along the Pacific Coast, especially southwest facing beaches. * WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion can be expected. Sneaker waves can sweep across the shoreline without warning, pulling people into the sea from rocks, jetties and beaches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay off of jetties, piers, rocks, and other waterside infrastructure. Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous surf and NEVER turn your back on the ocean.
