Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Kelbaker and Kelso Cima Roads will be impacted. HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Debris flows in and below burn scars are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy rain expected in the mountains during the late-morning to evening hours today. Thunderstorms that develop have the potential to produce rain rates of 0.50 to 1 inch per hour, locally higher.
