* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast California, including the following
county, Imperial.

* WHEN...Until 345 AM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 139 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
El Centro, Brawley, Imperial, Holtville, Westmorland,
Calipatria, Alamorio and Wiest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast and southern California, including
the following areas, in southeast California, Chuckwalla
Mountains, Chuckwalla Valley, Imperial County Southeast, Imperial
County Southwest, Imperial County West, Imperial Valley and Salton
Sea. In southern California, Chiriaco Summit, Joshua Tree NP East
and Joshua Tree NP West.

* WHEN...From 5 AM PDT early this morning through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Abundant moisture has moved into southeast California and
southwest Arizona and this will help to bring scattered
thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall by late morning and
through the evening hours today. Localized rainfall amounts
of 1-2 inches are likely to occur.
