* Special Marine Warning for...
Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border and out
to 10 nm...
Waters from San Mateo point to the Mexican Border Extending 10 to
60 nm out including San Clemente Island...

* Until 130 PM PDT.

* At 1225 PM PDT, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was
located near Camp Pendleton, moving northeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Possible waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

* The shower will remain over mainly open waters.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following
counties, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego.

* WHEN...Until 130 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1210 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Anaheim, Riverside, Irvine, San Bernardino, Fontana, Moreno
Valley, Ontario, Corona, Rialto and Mission Viejo.

* WHAT...South winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to
8 ft expected. Highest winds late this morning through early
afternoon.

* WHERE...Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican
Border and out to 10 nm and Waters from San Mateo Point to the
Mexican Border Extending 10 to 60 nm out including San
Clemente Island.

* WHEN...Through 5 PM PDT today.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A front with a distinct wind shift from
strong southerly to weaker westerly will move west to east
across the coastal waters late this morning through afternoon.
Additionally, there is a slight chance of thunderstorms today.
Any thunderstorm could produce briefly gusty, erratic winds,
choppy seas, and lightning.
