* Until 130 PM CDT.

* At 956 AM CDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy
rain in Trumann. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen with
additional heavy rainfall expected. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Jonesboro, Blytheville, Osceola, Trumann, Gosnell, Manila, Marked
Tree, Harrisburg, Bono, Lake City, Leachville, Lepanto, Bay,
Brookland, Monette, Caraway, Tyronza, Keiser, Weiner and Joiner.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following
counties, Crittenden, Cross, Mississippi, Poinsett and St. Francis
and West Tennessee, including the following counties, Fayette,
Haywood, Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 903 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen with additional rainfall expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown, Olive Branch,
West Memphis, Forrest City, Marion, Brownsville, Millington,
Covington, Wynne, Osceola, Earle, Luxora, Parkin, Wilson,
Madison, Tyronza and Meeman Shelby Forest State Park.

Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Lee AR, Mississippi, Poinsett and
St. Francis, North Mississippi, including the following areas,
Benton MS, DeSoto, Marshall, Tate and Tunica, and West Tennessee,
including the following areas, Fayette, Hardeman, Haywood,
Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Training storms have set up along a cold front. These will be
producing rain rates of 2-3 inches per hour in some cases,
lasting for much of the day.
