THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...A high impact winter storm is expected this Friday night
through Sunday morning with heavy mixed precipitation possible.
Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected over the
northern portions of the state, with local amounts in excess of 8
inches possible. A mixture of snow and sleet accumulations between
2 to 5 inches is expected over central to southern Arkansas. Ice
accumulations around a quarter to one half of an inch are possible
over southern Arkansas, with locally greater amounts near three
quarters of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of central, eastern, north central, southeast,
southwest, and western Arkansas.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through late Saturday night.

* IMPACTS...Expect power outages and tree damage due to the ice.
Travel could be impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact
the Friday evening commute.
