PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR NORTHWESTERN BALDWIN AND NORTHEASTERN MOBILE COUNTIES... At 139 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall which is leading to flash flooding in Saraland, Satsuma, and Creola. Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Saraland, Satsuma, Creola, Axis, Mount Vernon, Movico, Salco, Barry Village, Bucks, Chastang, Hatters, Pennsylvania, Fort Stoddard, Celeste, Vaughn, Mackies, Latham and Oak Grove. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
