...MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAIN... .Multiple rounds of heavy rain are possible for the panhandle this week as a parade of systems move over the area. Locations primarily impacted with the highest rain rates are expected to be the southern half of the panhandle. The next system, arriving Tuesday, has a 60% chance for rain rates to exceed one tenth of an inch per hour for 24 hours. Coinciding with the high wind gusts is a 30% chance for rain rates to exceed 0.2 inches per hour. Rain totals have an 80% chance to be between 1.5 and 3.5 inches. The third system late in the week has lower confidence but higher potential, with totals between 1.5 and 4.5 inches. No flooding is currently expected, but it is possible that rivers and streams will rapidly rise with each round of precipitation.
