Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Lower Koyukuk Valley, South Slopes of the Western Brooks Range, and Upper Kobuk Valleys. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...During the strongest wind gusts, visibility could be limited to below 1/4 mile, resulting in significant blowing and drifting snow. The strongest northeasterly wind gusts are most likely above 1000 feet. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Delay travel if possible.
