27.11.2025 in the morning, as the precipitation zone continues to cross Latvia, locally in the central and east regions of Latvia snow depth will increase up to 5 cm. All traffic participants are asked to be cautious – parts of road will be slippery and covered with snow, and visibility during the snowfall will decrease! BE AWARE of heavy snowfall!
Snowfall can hinder the movement of vehicles on the roads, as well as pedestrian movement.
Visibility will be reduced during snowfall and blizzard conditions.
Snowfall and wet snow deposits in certain areas can cause tree branches to break and damage power lines.
Outdoor activities may be affected in certain areas.
Be careful when walking, riding a bike or car.

26-27.11.2025 in the middle of the night in the south-east regions snowfall will turn into freezing rain - very heavy glazed ice is expected to form on roads, wires, tree branches and other surfaces. Freezing rain will last till the forenoon hours of Thursday.  BE PREPARED for a very heavy icing!
Transport movement on roads and railways, as well as air traffic, will be disrupted in large areas. Pedestrian movement and other outdoor activities will also be very difficult.
For safety reasons, planned outdoor activities should be cancelled or postponed.
When moving on the roads, be very careful, note that road travel will take additional time. Evaluate the need to go outside, especially during rush hours.
Glazed ice will form on other surfaces as well, incl. wires and tree branches - they will bend and break. The risk of power supply failure increases significantly.
