Strong wind expected tonight with large waves and pounding surf for northwest facing coastlines. Locations: parts of eastern Nova Scotia Maximum wind gusts: northwest 70 to 90 km/h. Time span: tonight. Remarks: Large waves, pounding surf and elevated sea water levels are expected, especially along north and western facing coastlines with the high tides this evening. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Strong winds that may cause damage are expected. Maximum gusts: northwest 90 km/h, possibly higher. Locations: Inverness and Victoria Counties Time span: tonight. Remarks: Wind gusts will likely exceed 90 km/h in some exposed areas of the coast and the Highlands. ### Local utility outages are possible.
