Yellow Warning - Freezing Rain

Freezing rain likely Wednesday. What: Several hours of freezing rain leading to ice build-up. Ice accretion of 4 to 8 mm possible. Utility outages and tree damage possible. Easterly winds gusting up to 60 km/h. When: Beginning overnight or early Wednesday morning, and tapering off by Wednesday evening. Additional information: Several hours of freezing rain are possible Wednesday. Easterly winds gusting to 60 km/h combined with ice accretion may lead to utility outages and tree damage. Since temperatures are expected to be close to the freezing mark, there is some uncertainty regarding how much ice accretion will occur. ### Roads and walkways may become icy and slippery. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
