Very strong winds developing today.

What:
Maximum wind speeds: 90 km/h gusting to 110.

When: Now into the overnight hours.

Where: Exposed coastal sections of northern Vancouver Island, BC's Central Coast and Haida Gwaii.

Remarks:
A vigorous and rapidly intensifying  frontal system is approaching and already impacting the BC Coast. This weather system is generating very strong southeasterly winds today, especially over exposed coastal locations. Winds are expected to remain very strong today and ease overnight.
