...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM AKDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Southeasterly winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island. * WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 1 PM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds will increase from west to east this morning. Winds begin diminishing for Mekoryuk by late this afternoon, and for coastal communities north of Kipnuk by late this evening. However, coastal communities from Kipnuk east and south to Quinhagak will likely see gusty winds persist through Friday afternoon as the front stalls overhead. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THURSDAY TO 3 PM AKDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Water levels as high as 1.0 to 2.0 feet above the normal highest tide line. The highest water levels in Kwigillingok and Kongiganak. * WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast. * WHEN...Until 3 PM Friday. * IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low lying areas. Coastal erosion is possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong south winds will push water toward the coast, resulting in elevated water levels and large surf. The greatest impacts are expected around the times of three high tide cycles between 8 AM and 11 AM Thursday, 9 PM and 3 AM Friday and 8 AM and 11 AM Friday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
