Orange Warning - Snow Squall

Hazardous snow squalls continue. What: Extremely hazardous travel conditions. Total snowfall amounts of 30 to 60 cm with locally higher amounts possible. Near zero visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow. Intense snowfall rates of 5 to 10 cm per hour at times. When: Continuing into Saturday morning. Additional information: Intense bands of lake effect snow off of Georgian Bay will affect the area today and tonight. These bands are not expected to shift much. Where the bands lock in, very heavy accumulations will be possible. Strong winds are also expected, reducing visibility to near zero at times in local blowing snow. The lake effect activity should diminish in intensity later tonight or Saturday morning. ### Road closures are possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
