Strong southerly winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of around 90 km/h are possible late afternoon about the coastal fringe from Coffs Harbour to just south of Tweed Heads, as well as for elevated terrain of the Border Ranges and Dorrigo Plateau. Winds are forecast to ease below warning thresholds by late Sunday night.
Flood Watches and various Flood Warnings are current for eastern catchments and a Coastal Hazard Warning is also current. Please refer to http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/warnings/
Locations which may be affected include Coffs Harbour, Murwillumbah, Byron Bay, Yamba, Evans Head and Ebor.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Hunter, Central Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains and Central West Slopes and Plains districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
